If you tell your neighbor that an elf lives in your house, he/she might not doubt you at first, but later when you still cannot produce physical evidence for this unusual visitor your neighbor will either worry about your mental condition or laugh at you. After knocking on your neighbor’s door every time you see the elf, your neighbor comes to your house to investigate. He/She witness nothing except notes about your personal experiences regarding this elf. Your neighbor starts to become perturbed at your unfounded claim and no longer answers the door. Do you deserve your neighbor’s doubt and outright disrespect? Yes! Whether you realize or not, you have done nothing to earn their respect regarding your sightings.

How can one expect to be taken seriously when you have no physical evidence? Christianity has made outrageous claims for about 2000 years and produced no physical evidence to support their beliefs. Isn’t it time to start laughing back and closing our doors?

Maybe someday we will all realize that religion was used as a tool to control the majority of a culture or nation. Someday that tool will be worn and be replaced by people’s compassion for a fellow human. A fellow human that needs food, clothing, employment, shelter and medical attention is much more important than the mythological belief in gods and their temples of grandeur. The belief in these gods has not provided these essentials, while humans have.

Some have used the opportunity of one’s misfortune to proselytize their brand of “God” claiming their misfortune was “God’s Will” and due to their lack of obedience to that “God”. What kind of a god would inflict pain and suffering on those he supposedly created? Someday, more eyes will be opened to the fallacy of “God’s love”.

Dear American Christian:
Maybe someday “In God We Trust” will be removed from American currency and replaced by the true god of many people that reside in the United States…Greed. While many American Christians talk about their belief in Christ and how they love his teachings, many are nothing like the man they claim to be the “Savior to mankind”. In fact, I find them to be more immoral than the so-called, “sinners”. It is American Christians that shame our country with their acts of hypocrisy while touting high standards of morality due to their belief system. Your priests and pastors are molesting our children. Our prisons contain mostly a Christian population. Your divorce rates are increasing as you speak ill of gay marriage and civil unions. When you start being more like your Jesus Christ, we will know by your actions..not your stupid, pathetic little cries for respect. Why should anyone respect those who don’t practice what they preach? If you want to impress non-Christians by being more Christ-like, start by riding an ass into town instead of being the asses of our nation.

Maybe someday we will celebrate and embrace humanism while embarking on a journey to reality. Real problems need real answers, not promises of a better world through believing in resurrected saviors and supporting superstition.

Sometimes I just want to grab one of these nutjobs by the head and scream, “Are you fucking kidding me?” This is even more ridiculous than their belief that God protects humans from harm.

What’s next, pet exorcism…or perhaps pet baptism, pet confession or communion?

Will an unleashed dog or cat that is “blessed” be less likely to be hit by a car?

You Christians always seem to come up with original ideas that keep the rational amused!

If you think that the Bible is inerrant. If it is inerrant, then you should go find that planet that has “four corners”.

If you faithfully watch CBN and Fox News and claim it as “fair and balanced”.

Despite the evidence of fossils, you think the Earth is only 6000 to 10,000 years old and perhaps Adam and Eve even interacted with dinosaurs. Who were their first neighbors…the Flintstones?

If you criticize the Amish for living remotely among themselves and being non-violent, but yet admire the lives of Jesus and John the Baptist for living in the wilderness for many, many days without human contact.

If you claim that any religion other than Christianity is wrong. Being a member of the right religion is a matter of opinion, not fact. Facts tend to get in the way of religious beliefs anyway.

If you claim that God or Jesus is everywhere, but yet you’re always inviting sinners to your church hoping they will “find Jesus”. This also validates the “conversion through indoctrination” way of adherence.

If you criticize Muslims for being misogynists, but yet your Bible prohibits women from speaking in church , are unequal to men and blamed for original sin .

I can stop laughing!!!
